The Role: AI-Driven Software Engineer

As an AI-Driven Software Engineer at Xebia, you’ll work closely with clients to design and build high-quality software solutions. Each project is different, giving you the opportunity to work across industries, technologies, and engineering challenges.

What you’ll need

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering
• Strong backend development experience using Kotlin, Java, Scala, or Golang
• Experience building scalable backend systems or distributed architectures
• A solid understanding of software engineering best practices such as testing, clean code, and continuous delivery
• Experience with AI technologies, LLMs, AI integrations, or a strong affinity for AI-driven development
• A consulting mindset: you enjoy collaborating with different teams and understanding business needs
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• A passion for learning and sharing knowledge

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-native architectures
• Experience building AI-enabled applications
• Contributions to open source or personal side projects
• Active participation in developer communities or meetups
• Experience with data-driven systems
• Dutch language skills
