Basic Function: Responsible for the production and management of a variety of structural public/private sector projects.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties/Responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Preparing structural design calculations and performing analysis of new and existing systems and structures
- Understand and calculate the stability, strength, and rigidity of built structures for buildings and non-building structures
- Perform analysis of building materials for use in construction
- Determine cause of structural failures, damages, and defects thought site investigations and provide reports detailing investigations and assessment of damages to the structure
- Reviewing designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards and customer contract requirements and related specifications
- Development of hazard assessments
- Proficient with AutoDesk Revit modeling and Risa structural analysis programs
- Strong personal organizational, time management, and leadership skills
- Problem solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to multi-task and work with a group and on an individual basis
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, committed to professional development & continuing education
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Projects, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or commensurate experience
- 5+ years of experience in structural engineering
