Cloud DevOps Expert

Overview:

The Cloud DevOps Expert will design, build, and manage automation frameworks across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Additionally, the expert will develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) modules, automate CI/CD pipelines, optimize cloud deployments, and ensure secure, scalable, compliant cloud operations. The role requires deep hands-on expertise in Terraform, OCI, GCP, cloud networking, DevOps tooling, and enterprise automation patterns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Terraform modules for OCI and GCP environments.
• Implement modular, reusable, and version-controlled IaC automation across cloud services.
• Integrate Terraform automation with CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, OCI DevOps, and Cloud Build.
• Apply Policy-as-Code frameworks such as OPA, Sentinel, and governance guardrails.
• Build, deploy, and operate multi-cloud workloads including compute, networking, storage, identity, and load balancers.
• Manage Kubernetes platforms (OKE and GKE) including cluster deployments and automation.
• Implement secure resource provisioning, multi-region architecture, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
• Implement automated testing, linting, Terraform plan validation, and security scanning.
• Apply IAM best practices across OCI and GCP including RBAC, policies, compartments, and service accounts.
• Implement security controls such as KMS/CMEK, audit logging, network segmentation, and secrets management.
• Configure monitoring dashboards, alerts, and logging for cloud resources.
• Support incident response, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.
• Optimize cloud cost, performance, and operational reliability.
• Act as SME for DevOps, automation, OCI, and GCP technologies while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• Preferred to have professional certifications such as: HashiCorp Terraform Associate, OCI Architect Professional, OCI DevOps/Developer Professional, Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer, and Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.

Experience:

• 8–12 years of experience in DevOps engineering with at least 5 years of experience in both OCI and GCP environments.
• Strong expertise in Terraform including modules, workspaces, and state management.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Cloud Build.

Skills & Competencies:

• Knowledge of OCI Identity, VCN, OKE, Load Balancing, and Object Storage.
• Knowledge of GCP IAM, VPC, GKE, Cloud SQL, and Compute Engine.
• Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash.
• Strong understanding of Linux, cloud networking, and automation frameworks.
