Job Description - Design and implement robust, scalable full-stack solutions to meet evolving business requirements
- Lead technical design and contribute to architectural decisions for distributed systems and data-intensive applications.
- Partner with product and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Develop and own delivery plans, including estimation, sequencing, and risk identification.
- Leverage modern development tools, including AI-assisted/agentic technologies, to improve developer productivity and solution quality.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, QA, and operations to deliver high-quality, production-ready software.
- Ensure reliable and secure production deployments, including monitoring, observability, and performance optimization.
- Communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders and team members.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, standards, and processes.
- Mentor and support other engineers through design collaboration, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends through ongoing learning and research.
- Safeguard sensitive and proprietary data, including compliance with HIPAA requirements.
- Support and promote the Verity values through positive interactions with both internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis.
Qualifications Required:
- Strong proficiency in backend development with Golang.
- 10+ years of experience building enterprise-grade, service-oriented applications and distributed systems.
- Object oriented programming experience.
- Experience building modern frontend applications using React frameworks.
- Proven experience designing systems for scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance.
- Strong experience working with complex data models and large datasets with MongoDB.
- Solid understanding of cloud-native architecture and distributed system design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with AWS (or comparable cloud platforms).
- Proficiency with modern development tools, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Experience leading technical initiatives or projects.
- Self-motivated and able to operate effectively with minimal supervision.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs. Desired:
- Experience in healthcare or pharmacy systems.
- Experience designing and implementing distributed systems using modern design patterns and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development.
- Proficiency with modern software development tools, frameworks, and engineering practices.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing and deployment.
- Strong understanding of version control systems such as Git.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges.
- Experience developing solutions within healthcare systems or regulated healthcare environments.
- Front-end development experience, including proficiency with Angular.
- Knowledge of designing highly scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant distributed applications.
- Experience designing and working with complex data models and processing large datasets.
- Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, or similar technologies.
- Experience designing and implementing cloud-native architectures using microservices, containers, and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
