Schwarz Digits creates the technological foundation for digital sovereignty in Europe. As the IT and digital division of the Schwarz Group, we develop and manage the IT infrastructures for the retail divisions Lidl and Kaufland, as well as Schwarz Production and PreZero. At the same time, we operate as an independent provider in the external market to support companies across Europe in their digital transformation. We bundle our core services in the areas of Cloud, Cyber Security, Data & AI, Communication, and Workspace.

We are seeking a talented Go Software Engineer to join our dynamic, fully agile team. In this role, you won't just write code; you will own the entire software development lifecycle - from conceptualizing new architectural designs to deploying and maintaining high-usage business applications in the cloud.

The Impact You Will Create

Software Development & Architecture

• End-to-End Ownership: Take full responsibility for the design, development, testing, deployment, and long-term maintenance of our core software products.
• Build Quality: Deliver high-quality, clean, well-tested, and maintainable Go code for high-traffic, critical business applications.
• Modern Architecture: Define next-generation software architectures and successfully execute software migrations across diverse cloud environments.
• Continuous Innovation: Propose fresh ideas and actively improve existing software development practices and methodologies.

Collaboration & Agile Practices

• Cross-Functional Teamwork: Work closely with Product Owners, Frontend Engineers, and Quality Assurance Engineers to turn product vision into reality.
• Agile Mindset: Thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative agile environment, adapting quickly to evolving technical and business needs.

Experience and Skills You will Nee

• Golang Expertise: Deep, proven experience developing robust backend services using Go.
• Cloud Platforms: Solid background in cloud computing platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure, or equivalent.
• DevOps & Containerization: Good experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure DevOps for building and orchestrating CI/CD pipelines.
• NoSQL Database: Good experience working with NoSQL data stores such as Couchbase, MongoDB, or similar systems.
• Observability: Strong working knowledge of monitoring and observability tools like Datadog, Grafana and Prometheus to ensure system health and performance.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Familiarity or experience with JavaScript technologies (e.g., Node.js, React, or TypeScript).
• Experience leveraging AI tools and models to optimize everyday software development workflows and productivity.
