About Nexa Legal

Nexa Legal builds specialized AI systems for litigation lawyers, not generic copilots, but end-to-end workflows for real legal work: research, document analysis, and drafting, with the lawyer fully in control. The focus is on reliability (multi-model validation, LLM-as-judge), traceability (grounded, citable outputs), and privacy (EU-first, sensitive data handling). The company already has strong traction and is now building the core system to scale it.

The Opportunity

This is a build-the-foundation role: shaping architecture and technical direction, and defining how the company builds, ships, and scales, with full ownership across product and infrastructure from day one and direct collaboration with the founding team.

Title, equity structure, and decision rights will be discussed directly once mutual interest is established.

What You’d Do

• Hire, guide, and set the technical bar as the team grows

• Define the technical roadmap and translate product vision into architecture decisions that scale

• Build core product capabilities end-to-end - API, UI, infrastructure

• Design and implement robust RAG pipelines

• Create offline and online evaluation frameworks and quality gates

• Develop durable workflows (Temporal or equivalent)

• Run and improve Kubernetes-based deployments

• Integrate multiple model providers with fallback logic

• Set engineering standards: code reviews, release processes, testing rigor, documentation and grow the team with vision

What We're Looking For

• Someone ready to lead and set direction, not just execute
• Proven experience shipping production systems with .NET, Python, and modern TypeScript/React
• Track record designing system architecture that scales cleanly across code, infrastructure, and cost
• Hands-on expertise in LLM systems: RAG pipelines, evaluation frameworks, grounding techniques or proven ability to acquire it quickly
• Comfort owning infrastructure (Kubernetes, CI/CD) alongside product
• Ability to mentor engineers and raise the technical bar
• Clear communication and fast execution

You’re someone who thrives with autonomy, enjoys shipping production code, and can operate effectively with ambiguity. You love building systems, not just solving isolated problems.

Compensation

Competitive salary plus upside potential depending on profile. Specific range and equity terms will be shared in conversation once mutual fit is established.
