Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Quality Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in test automation, functional testing, API testing, UI automation, and performance testing, with strong expertise in Playwright, Java, Selenium, TestNG, and TypeScript/JavaScript and CI/CD pipelines, and emerging Agentic AI-driven testing solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks, ensuring product quality, reliability, and performance across modern cloud-based applications and microservices architectures.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, and enhance automated test solutions using Java, Playwright, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and quality assurance approaches based on business and technical requirements.
Estimate testing effort, identify risks, dependencies, and resource requirements for project delivery.
Build and maintain scalable, reusable, and secure automation frameworks across web applications, APIs, and microservices.
Create and execute automated test suites for functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, test procedures, and automation scripts.
Perform manual testing as required to validate functionality prior to automation implementation. Validate UI and backend services functionality to ensure product quality and reliability.
Implement, execute, and debug automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
Collaborate closely with software engineers, architects, product managers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality releases.
Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating automated testing solutions.
Build utilities and tools to automate repetitive testing and monitoring activities.
Leverage Agentic AI tools to optimize test creation, execution, maintenance, and defect analysis.
Monitor testing progress, provide status updates to stakeholders, and proactively mitigate quality risks.
Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to QA strategy and process improvements.
Qualifications
7–10 years in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
Strong hands‑on expertise in Playwright, Java, Selenium, TestNG, Junit, Typescript/ JavaScript.
Strong understanding of API testing using tools/frameworks such as REST Assured.
Experience with, Git, Maven/Gradle, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines.
Strong experience in Manual Testing, including test planning, test case design, test execution, defect tracking, regression testing, system testing, integration testing, and support for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience implementing and utilizing Agentic AI solutions for test automation, test generation, defect analysis, or quality engineering workflows.
Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface across cross-functional technology teams and the business
Eagerness to learn independently and flexibility to work across technology stacks
Nice to Have
Experience with AI-powered testing platforms and Large Language Model (LLM)-based test automation solutions.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Performance and load testing experience using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner
Knowledge of security testing concepts and tools.
Exposure to observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
Additional Information
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
