Band 8 - Salary Range $127,546 to $142,788 per annum + 12% Super + ADO

Salary offered will depend on level of skills and experience.

The Opportunity

Following the successful delivery of the Technology Change Program (TCP) Phase One, Melton City Council is entering an exciting next chapter of transformation.

TCP Phase 2 is a key part of Council’s broader Transformation Program focused on modernising and optimising our technology environment, improving operational efficiency and delivering better, more responsive services to our community and stakeholders.

Reporting to the Technical Lead, the Integration Developer will be responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing support of integration solutions across a diverse suite of enterprise applications, ensuring reliable and secure data exchange across the organisation.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations, provide support for technical integrations and tackle various challenges.

You'll be joining a collaborative and supportive environment that encourages and values collaboration and you’ll be working with a diverse, committed and motivated team.

We’re looking for an individual who is passionate about application support, works well as part of a team, collaborates effectively with internal staff and project teams and enjoys working on a technology change program to enhance efficiencies and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable integration solutions using Azure Integration Services and TechnologyOne platforms.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, technical teams, and stakeholders to deliver effective, best-practice integration solutions.
  • Develop, test, document, and support integration workflows, APIs, and scripts in line with governance, security, and architectural standards.
  • Monitor emerging TechnologyOne updates and industry trends, providing technical guidance and supporting ongoing program delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Promote high-quality, compliant delivery by maintaining documentation, communicating testing outcomes, meeting program objectives, and adhering to OHS requirements.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Systems Engineering or related field with relevant experience plus post graduate qualifications, or lesser formal qualifications with extensive and diverse experience, or intensive specialist experience.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing Azure Integration Services (iPaaS) solutions, including APIM, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Azure Functions, Data Factory, and Azure Storage.
  • Strong API development skills using Azure API Management, applying RESTful standards, versioning, security, and performance best practices.
  • Experienced in Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and integrating IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms to enable secure, seamless data exchange.
