We're looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to help us build the backend services that power this platform.

What You'll Work On

As part of our engineering team, you'll help design and build the services that power our AI platform.

Examples of problems you'll solve include:

• Designing backend services for AI-powered workflow orchestration.
• Building APIs that integrate AI models with enterprise business systems.
• Processing and managing large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
• Designing reliable backend architectures for document processing pipelines.
• Building systems that combine AI automation with human-in-the-loop validation.
• Improving the scalability, reliability, and performance of production services.
• Solving challenging backend problems where there isn't always a textbook solution.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production backend services in Go.
• Own features end-to-end—from technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Design clean, scalable APIs and backend architectures.
• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, AI engineers, product managers, and QA.
• Debug and resolve complex production issues.
• Improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in architecture discussions and help shape technical direction.
• Review code, mentor engineers, and promote engineering best practices.

What We're Looking For

Required

• Strong production experience building backend applications.
• Production experience with Go, or extensive backend experience in another modern language with the ability to become productive in Go quickly.
• Strong understanding of backend architecture and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience designing and building production REST APIs.
• Production experience with MongoDB or other document databases.
• Good understanding of software design principles and clean, maintainable code.
• Experience writing automated tests.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience owning projects from design through production.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI or LLM integrations.
• Experience with workflow engines or business process automation.
• Experience with SQL databases.
• Experience with distributed systems or event-driven architectures.
• Experience mentoring other engineers.
• Experience working in a fast-moving product environment.
