About the Opportunity

Our client is an established European software product company developing enterprise-grade cloud solutions used by global organizations. As part of continued product expansion, they are looking for a hands-on Solution Architect to drive the design and delivery of scalable backend platforms while mentoring engineering teams and influencing technical direction.

This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys remaining close to the code while contributing to architecture, product strategy, and engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure, and high-performance backend architectures for cloud-native SaaS applications.
• Translate business and product requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Lead the implementation of new product features from architecture through production deployment.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, DevOps, QA, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Review architecture, code quality, security, and performance standards.
• Mentor software engineers and provide technical leadership across multiple initiatives.
• Contribute to CI/CD, automation, observability, and platform reliability.
• Drive continuous improvements in software architecture, development practices, and engineering processes.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with recent architecture or technical leadership responsibilities.
• Strong backend development expertise using Golang.
• Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• Proven experience designing and delivering cloud-based SaaS platforms.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, distributed systems, and microservices.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and modern DevOps practices.
• Comfortable working across the full software development lifecycle.
• Previous frontend development experience is beneficial but not essential.

Nice to Have

• Authentication or security platform experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or public cloud platforms.
• Exposure to event-driven architectures and scalable distributed systems.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
