Cloud & Data Center Migration Project Manager
We are looking for an experienced Cloud & Data Center Migration Project Manager to lead large-scale application and infrastructure migration initiatives across global environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex cloud and data center migration programs involving large application portfolios.
- Drive global migration planning activities, including discovery, dependency analysis, wave planning, and cutover coordination.
- Engage with application owners and business stakeholders worldwide to align migration timelines, readiness, and execution plans.
- Organize and facilitate technical workshops, migration planning sessions, and decision-making forums with application and infrastructure teams.
- Develop and maintain integrated migration roadmaps, detailed project schedules, milestones, and delivery plans for global application migrations.
- Coordinate and manage multi-vendor delivery teams across infrastructure, cloud, network, workplace, and data center domains.
- Oversee the implementation and adoption of tooling required for application discovery, dependency mapping, migration analysis, planning, and execution.
- Ensure delivery through Agile methodologies using Azure DevOps, while also applying Waterfall planning and governance practices where appropriate.
- Define the project charter, scope, objectives, governance model, and success criteria in alignment with program leadership and project sponsors.
- Establish the project organization structure and ensure clear role allocation across all participating teams and functions.
- Perform global stakeholder alignment and ensure consistent communication across regions, business units, and technical workstreams.
- Rapidly understand the client's IT service delivery landscape, operational processes, and enterprise architecture context.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain strong relationships with executive sponsors, program management, business leaders, and technical teams.
- Monitor project progress against scope, schedule, budget, quality, and delivery baselines, ensuring timely corrective actions when needed.
- Coordinate the creation, review, quality assurance, and sign-off of all project deliverables.
- Lead project governance activities, including steering committee updates, executive reporting, and milestone reviews.
- Manage project financials, including effort estimation, cost tracking, budget control, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation actions across global workstreams.
- Coordinate inter-project dependencies and ensure alignment with related transformation and infrastructure initiatives.
- Drive accountability across internal and external teams and ensure effective collaboration among geographically distributed stakeholders and service providers.
- Prepare concise executive-level reports and dashboards summarizing project health, delivery status, risks, budget, and key decisions.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience successfully delivering large-scale IT transformation and migration projects in complex enterprise environments.
- Proven experience managing global rollouts impacting company-wide user populations.
- Experience within Finance, Insurance, Banking, or other highly regulated industries is strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Project and Programme Management frameworks, including MSP, PRINCE2, Agile, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
