Job Description Summary

The Customer Service Representative works in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to p rovide effective customer service and support through in-depth knowledge of company products, programs and services . This position reports directly to the Dispatch Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• The basic responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative include, but not limited to the following.
  
  • Communicate with customers by phone and text messaging software, enter data into the computer system.
  • Solicit future orders from customers and enter order into computer system.
  • Negotiate with customers' acceptable delivery times to prevent lost orders.
  • Document customer complaints and forward to Dispatch Manager and/or Sales Representative.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

• High School Degree or General Education Degree (GED).
• Three to five years related customer service experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements .

• Basic computer skills for entering orders. Outlook, Word, Excel, Keyboard 25 + wpm.
• Extensive knowledge of Austin and surrounding areas,
• Ability to read and understand maps.
• Communicate effectively with a wide variety of customers and be an effective problem solver.

Language Skills:

Must read, write and speak English.

Mathematical Skills:

Basic math required - addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Reasoning Ability:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work up to 65 hours per week including Saturdays.
