DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain delinquenciesin accordance withpeer performance and the risk profile of thebank.
Maintain effective communication with customersin an attempt toresolve poor credit performance.
Pursue the recovery of charge-off loans.
Document allactivitytaken to collect non-performing loans or assets.
Participate in regular assessments of thebank’s asset quality, including the review of classifiedloans, as well as those assets which should be charged off.
Assistthird party service providers who are hired to pursue the collection of non-performing loans and assets.
Attendinternal and external training programs related to collections.
Participate in the training of new collectors.
Perform other collection-related tasks, as assigned or requested
This role will interact with individual contributors within Thrivent, external vendors, contractors and/or consultants,andThrivent clients.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Required:
High school education with 5-7 years of relatedcollectionsexperience.
Proficient knowledge of federal and state law related to the collection of nonperforming assets.
Understanding ofthe regulatory processregardingcollateral repossession, foreclosures, and bankruptcy proceedings.
Preferred:
Work independently on assigned projects after receiving initial direction from supervisor.
Prioritize multiple tasks, focusing efforts on those nonperforming assets that pose the greatest risk to thefinancial institution.
Effectively communicate through written and oral skills.
Exercise flexibility and innovativeness toaccomplishthe goals of the Collections Department.
