About the Role
At Uber, we're transforming the future of retail by building one of the world's largest marketplaces for on-demand delivery across local commerce.
As part of the Global Merchant Operations team for Retail, you'll play a key role in creating an exceptional experience for merchants on the Uber platform. You'll help merchants grow their businesses while supporting a reliable, high-quality delivery experience for customers.
In this role, you'll partner closely with local Operations and Commercial teams around the world, as well as Retail leadership and Product teams. You'll analyze operational performance, evaluate merchant-facing products, and help improve the processes, programs, and tools that enable merchants to succeed.
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working collaboratively across teams, and turning data into action. You'll thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment where you'll balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day operational improvements.
What You'll Do
- Lead and execute high-impact global initiatives that help merchants grow and succeed on the Uber platform.
- Influence the merchant technology roadmap by developing business cases for features that improve the merchant experience.
- Analyze operational data, identify opportunities, and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations for local and cross-functional teams.
- Partner with Community Operations, Local Operations, Business Development, Finance, Product, and other cross-functional teams to solve complex business challenges and drive operational excellence.
What You'll Need
Basic Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in operations, strategy, finance, consulting, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using SQL.
- Advanced SQL proficiency is a MUST for the role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with experience coordinating initiatives across multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in grocery, retail, or a related industry.
- Experience partnering with Product teams to deliver operational or technology improvements.
