PL/SQL Developer

We are looking for a Senior PL/SQL Developer to join a well-known Bank in Uzbekistan. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle database development, performance optimization, and core banking systems. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance database solutions that support critical banking operations and payment processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain PL/SQL applications and database objects.
• Create and enhance stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and cursors.
• Develop robust database solutions to support core banking and financial applications.
• Analyze and optimize SQL queries, execution plans, indexes, and database performance.
• Design and maintain efficient database structures following normalization and denormalization principles.
• Work with large-scale databases and high-volume transactional systems using partitioning and materialized views.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to gather and implement requirements.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Ensure database security, integrity, reliability, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Support system enhancements, upgrades, and performance tuning initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of commercial PL/SQL development experience.
• Experience working with core banking systems.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Database: 11g, 12c, 19c.
• Confident PL/SQL skills: procedures, functions, packages, triggers, cursors.
• Experience optimizing SQL queries: execution plans, indexes, hints.
• Understanding of database design principles: normalization and denormalization.
• Experience working with large data volumes: partitioning, materialized views.
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams.
• Russian language proficiency: C1
• English language proficiency: B2 or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle Advanced Queuing.
• Knowledge of Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Understanding of banking systems and payment processes.
