About the Team
The EMEA Mobility Central Operations team, in close partnership with Regional teams, shapes the vision, strategy, and execution of Uber's Mobility operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Operations is at the heart of our business, ensuring seamless experiences for our riders and driver partners while driving the growth of Uber's platform. Central Operations consists of four verticals Rider Operations, Driver Operations, Marketplace and Business Operations.
The Marketplace team sits at the crux of Uber's two-side marketplace, with our riders on the one side and our driver-partners on the other. Through optimal pricing decisions, the efficient and targeted use of rider promotions and driver incentives, and leveraging Uber's powerful pricing and matching technology, we ensure that our marketplace continues to operate smoothly and is well set up for long-term growth.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Regional Operations Manager to lead our efforts to monitor and improve dynamic pricing. This role will focus on monitoring, supporting experimentation, and rolling out updates, while working closely with Product teams to drive technical improvements. Additionally, you will collaborate with Finance to track and analyze the financial impact of our marketplace pricing technology, ensuring our investments adhere with plans.
We're looking for a highly analytical and proactive problem solver who can build a strong intuition for the ridesharing marketplace. This role requires a deep curiosity for marketplace dynamics, a track record of turning complex challenges into scalable solutions, and the ability to collaborate effectively with regional and cross-functional teams.
What you will do
- Developing and executing data-driven strategies to optimize surge pricing
- Enhancing product performance by monitoring key metrics and collaborating with Product teams to drive improvements.
- Conducting relevant analytical deep-dives to improve reliability across EMEA, size and identify key initiatives
- Collaborating with Finance to analyse the root causes behind deviations and advise on remediation
What we are looking for
- Experience: 5+ years in an analytical role such as Data Analytics, Data Science, Consulting or Tech Operations.
- Education: Strong undergraduate degree, ideally in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics or similar
- Analytical Skills: Ability to synthesize large datasets into actionable insights and solutions.
- Experience with A/B testing and knowledge of Statistics is a plus.
- SQL Expertise: Proficiency in SQL (Intermediate required; Advanced preferred)
- Problem Solving & Initiative: A proactive mindset with a passion for identifying and solving complex problems.
- Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability: Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to design and scale solutions across multiple markets while balancing operational trade-offs.

- Python Skills: Proficiency in pandas/plotting; familiarity with ML/optimization techniques is a bonus, expertise on Gen AI tools
