Integration Engineer

Job Title: Integration Engineer

Location: Onsite in Lansing, MI

Local candidates are preferred

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise API and integration solutions.
• Develop, publish, secure, and manage APIs using IBM API Connect (APIC).
• Translate business requirements into technical designs, solution architectures, and implementation plans.
• Design and develop scalable RESTful and SOAP web services.
• Deploy and support API solutions in AWS and Kubernetes-based environments.
• Configure and support IBM DataPower Gateway and API Gateway policies.
• Implement API security standards including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, and TLS.
• Design reusable integration services aligned with enterprise architecture and API governance standards.
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, application teams, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to deliver end-to-end integration solutions.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise integration, API development, and middleware technologies.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM API Connect (APIC).
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
• Strong experience designing and developing REST and SOAP APIs.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions and implementation plans.
• Strong knowledge of API security standards including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, and TLS.
• Experience working with IBM DataPower Gateway.
• Proficiency with JSON, XML, XSLT, and API design best practices.
• Experience deploying and supporting cloud-based and containerized API solutions.
