Senior Software Engineer

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate is an Arabic-speaking professional with a strong track record in full-stack development, a collaborative mindset, and demonstrable experience engaging directly with clients to deliver complex software solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end services and APIs using .NET Core / ASP.NET Core
• Build dynamic, responsive front-end interfaces using Angular or equivalent modern frameworks (React, Vue.js)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality software
• Engage directly with clients to gather requirements, present solutions, and manage technical expectations throughout the project lifecycle
• Lead code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers
• Architect and optimize SQL/NoSQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Integrate third-party APIs, microservices, and cloud-based solutions (Azure / GCP)
• Participate in Agile practices (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives)
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement timely resolutions
• Document technical specifications, system designs, and APIs

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Back-End

• .NET Core 6 / 7 / 8 and ASP.NET Core – advanced proficiency
• RESTful API design and development;
• Entity Framework Core
• Authentication & authorization: OAuth2, JWT, IdentityServer

Front-End

• Angular 14+ (preferred) or React / Vue.js
• TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, SCSS
• State management (NgRx, Redux, or Vuex)
• Responsive design and cross-browser compatibility

Databases & Cloud

• SQL Server, PostgreSQL – query optimization and schema design
• Microsoft Azure or AWS – deployment, storage, and serverless functions
• CI/CD pipelines: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
• Containerization: Docker and Kubernetes basics

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in .NET / .NET Core development
• Proven history in client-facing roles: requirements gathering, solution presentations, status updates, and relationship management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering
• Transferable Visa (Article 18)
• Valid Kuwaiti Driving License
• Immediate joiners are preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Microsoft certifications (AZ-204, AZ-400, or equivalent)
• Experience in government or enterprise sectors
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and OWASP security standards
• Knowledge of software design patterns (CQRS, DDD, Repository, etc.)
• Prior experience in the GCC / MENA region is highly valued
