We’re looking for an early-career frontend engineer with strong fundamentals and a genuine interest in building great software.You may be a recent graduate with impressive projects or internship experience, or you may already have up to 3 years of professional development experience.You should have:- A good foundation in JavaScript and React.
- Some experience with TypeScript, or the ability to learn it quickly.
- An understanding of APIs and how frontend applications interact with backend services.
- Strong attention to detail and an interest in creating intuitive user experiences.
- Good problem-solving skills and a willingness to tackle unfamiliar technical challenges.

Krunchbox is a global retail analytics platform helping leading consumer brands turn complex point-of-sale data into better decisions.Our platform processes large volumes of retail data from retailers across North America and Australia, helping brands understand sales performance, optimize inventory, and make smarter supply chain decisions.We’re now building the next generation of Krunchbox: a modern, AI-powered analytics platform designed to deliver fast, intuitive, and actionable insights at scale.As a Frontend Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to work directly on this transformation, building a product used by real enterprise customers while developing your skills alongside experienced engineers.The Role - Frontend Engineer — Early Career (React & TypeScript)
You’ll join the engineering team rebuilding the core Krunchbox analytics experience, transitioning our frontend from a legacy jQuery and Bootstrap stack to a modern React and TypeScript application.This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll write production code and contribute directly to Reports, Dashboards, and other core product experiences.You’ll work with large datasets, interactive data grids, and complex analytics experiences while learning how modern SaaS applications are designed, built, and scaled.For an early-career engineer, this is an opportunity to gain practical experience across modern frontend architecture, enterprise data applications, product development, and AI-assisted engineering — while working on a major platform rebuild rather than simply maintaining an existing application.What You'll Work On- Build new product features using React and TypeScript.
- Help rebuild and modernize core parts of the Krunchbox analytics platform.
- Create dashboards and reports used by global consumer brands.
- Work extensively with AG Grid to build fast, interactive experiences across large datasets.
- Develop reusable, high-quality UI components using Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui.
- Build rich, interactive analytics experiences around complex retail data.
- Connect frontend experiences with backend APIs and data services.
- Collaborate directly with product, backend, data, and engineering teams.
- Help improve the performance, usability, and responsiveness of the platform.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions while developing strong engineering practices.
- Use modern AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, debugging, and learning.

Experience in any of the following is a bonus, but not required:- Building dashboards, reports, or data-heavy applications.
- AG Grid or other advanced data grid libraries.
- Tailwind CSS or modern component libraries.
- Experience building high-performance interfaces for large datasets.
- State management using Context API, Redux, Zustand, or similar.
- Backend development, APIs, databases, or server-side programming.
- AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code.
- Personal, academic, internship, or open-source projects that demonstrate your ability to build real software.
