AI Engineer

🚨 AI Engineer | Copenhagen | Up to $150K USD + Equity

I’m working with an early-stage AI startup building production-grade agents for companies that make and move physical products - across manufacturing, fashion, food, steel, industrial goods, and other complex supply-chain environments.

The company is only four months old, has already raised $4M in pre-seed funding, and has paying enterprise customers using the product in production.

They are now looking to hire one of their first engineers.

This is not a “join a large team and pick up tickets” type of role.

You’ll be joining a small founding team where the software you build goes directly into production and into the hands of enterprise customers.

You’ll own problem spaces end-to-end, working across:

• Backend systems
• AI agents and agent infrastructure
• ERP integrations
• Email-driven workflows
• Operational and supply-chain data
• APIs and enterprise integrations

The ideal profile:

✅ Strong backend engineering experience

✅ Hands-on Python experience

✅ Go experience, or a genuine willingness to learn

✅ Experience building AI agents

✅ Startup experience, ideally within an early-stage environment

✅ Experience delivering production software for real customers

✅ Comfortable working directly with enterprise customers

✅ Able to take ownership without relying on heavy structure

✅ Interested in operational workflows, ERP systems, supply chains, order-to-cash, or similarly complex environments

Bonus points for:

• Forward Deployed Engineering experience
• Consultancy or solutions engineering experience
• Customer-facing technical delivery
• Experience integrating with ERP or operational systems

This role is best suited to someone who wants genuine ownership, enjoys ambiguity, and is excited by the opportunity to build something from the ground up.

It is unlikely to suit frontend-heavy engineers, pure research profiles, or candidates looking for a highly structured environment with narrow responsibilities.
