You will be applying for the role of Midlevel Backend Developer.

Your daily responsibilities are:

• Gaining a deep understanding of Kanguro's evolving products, such as Pet Insurance and Renters Insurance, to build impactful applications for both customers and internal users.
• Collaborating closely with the rest of the Kanguro team, leveraging technology to solve their needs scalably, building internal tools, and automating repetitive workflows.
• Leveraging the latest advancements in AI-powered development workflows, from in-editor suggestions to agentic feature implementation and AI-assisted code reviews. We use a combination of Claude Code.
• Proposing, discussing, and implementing improvements to the technology and data team's workflows, including code reviews, vulnerability scanning, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Managing and evolving our hybrid infrastructure of Linux and Azure servers as needed.

Conditions & Benefits:

• The salary for this role is COP $9.000.000.
• Contract: Full-time, término indefinido (Colombia).
• Schedule: U.S. holidays observed + additional paid days when Colombia has extra holidays.
• This position requires you to come to the office close to “Parque de la 93” in Bogota 3 times a week, with 2 days of work from home.
