Responsibilities
- Support technical design activities and participate in architecture and design review sessions.
- Develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade software applications supporting FAA programs.
- Translate business and system requirements into maintainable, scalable code using modern programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Conduct peer code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with systems engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and stakeholders to meet application requirements.
- Develop and execute unit, integration, and regression tests to validate system functionality and performance.
- Support the integration of applications into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance issues, and system integration challenges.
- Contribute to technical documentation, including design artifacts, user guides, and compliance records.
- Assist in system verification, validation, readiness reviews, and modernization initiatives to improve development processes and automation.
- This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. In accordance with federal law, U.S. citizenship is required.
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of software development experience, or Master’s degree with 3 years of experience, or an Associate’s degree with 7 years of experience, or a high school diploma/equivalent with 9 years of experience.
- Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages, including Java, Python, or C#.
- Experience developing applications in cloud or hybrid environments.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and working within microservices architectures.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with system performance optimization.
- Excellent documentation skills and understanding of federal compliance standards.
