We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a high-performing technology team delivering modern, cloud-native applications that support critical business services. About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in the design, development and deployment of enterprise-grade software solutions. Working within an agile team, you'll contribute across the full software development lifecycle while mentoring other engineers and promoting engineering best practices.

You'll be responsible for building scalable back-end services, developing API integrations, and supporting cloud-native applications running within containerised environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality back-end applications using Python.
• Build and support RESTful APIs and system integrations.
• Develop and deploy containerised applications using Kubernetes.
• Work with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS or Azure.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners and engineers to deliver scalable software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot, optimise and enhance application performance and reliability.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You'll be an experienced software engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and working within collaborative, agile teams.

You'll ideally have:

• 5+ years' commercial software development experience.
• Strong Python back-end development experience.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerised workloads.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or another major cloud platform such as AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience working with Git and modern software development methodologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
