Position Overview

The Backend Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems and APIs for enterprise-grade platforms. The role requires strong expertise in backend development, API architecture, cloud-native systems, and secure engineering practices to build reliable and high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development & API Design

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Build secure and high-performance RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Implement business logic, service integrations, and data access layers.

System Architecture & Performance

• Optimize backend systems for scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Ensure proper logging, monitoring, and error handling mechanisms.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and engineering decisions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with frontend, AI, data, and DevOps teams.
• Collaborate to deliver end-to-end product features.
• Support integration between backend systems and enterprise platforms.

Code Quality & Engineering Practices

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Participate in code reviews and engineering best practices.
• Ensure backend systems follow security and coding standards.

Testing & Deployment

• Write unit and integration tests for backend services.
• Support deployment processes and backend release activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and backend reliability initiatives.

• Strong backend development and API design skills
• Experience with scalable system architecture and microservices
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Understanding of cloud platforms and deployment practices
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Backend, Cloud, or API-related certifications preferred.

Experience

• 4–6 years of experience in backend development and scalable system engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience in API development and backend architecture.
• Experience working with cloud-native and enterprise systems.
