Senior Software Engineer

We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a growing engineering team focused on designing and scaling modern cloud-based backend platforms. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll help architect scalable solutions, mentor engineers, and drive the development of high-performance applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services
• Architect cloud-native solutions and distributed systems
• Build and optimize large-scale data processing solutions
• Develop and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new platform capabilities
• Improve system performance, reliability, scalability, and security
• Drive software engineering best practices, code quality, and automation
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership
• Contribute to system architecture and technical decision-making

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong backend development experience using Python and/or TypeScript
• Experience designing and deploying scalable applications in AWS
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud architecture
• Experience building REST and/or GraphQL APIs
• Experience with containerized applications and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong understanding of system design, data modeling, and scalable software architecture
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor engineers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IoT or connected device platforms
• Experience leading engineering projects or technical teams
• Familiarity with Agile development practices
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools
