Back End Developer - PhP Laravel

We are expanding our development team in Alexandria, Egypt, and are looking for a seasoned Senior Backend Software Developer (PHP – Laravel) to help us rebuild and future-proof our web platform.

About the Role

We are embarking on a transformative journey to rebuild our core applications from the ground up, focusing on performance, scalability, and security. As a backend developer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining the foundation of our Laravel-based backend systems, while collaborating closely with frontend developers and product teams to deliver a seamless, reliable platform.

This is a unique opportunity to apply your deep expertise in PHP, Laravel, and modern backend architectures to shape a product that will scale across industries and markets.

What You’ll Do

Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs using PHP 8+ and Laravel 12.

Implement and extend Livewire components for dynamic, reactive interfaces.

Collaborate with frontend developers (React/Next.js) to integrate APIs and ensure smooth end-to-end functionality.

Work with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and contribute to schema design and optimization.

Apply solid OOP principles and clean architecture patterns to deliver maintainable, testable code.

Optimize application performance, scalability, and security for enterprise-level deployments.

Integrate third-party services and APIs where required.

Contribute to a CI/CD pipeline for automated builds, testing, and deployments.

Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.

Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions in an agile development environment.

Explore and apply emerging backend technologies, including graph databases and Python-based services, where applicable.

Use Docker for local development and containerized deployments.

Job Requirements

• Computer Science and Software Development skills
• Back-End Web Development expertise
• Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) proficiency
• 3 years Experience in PHP and Laravel frameworks as a minimum
• Experience with Livewire is a plus
• Structure and good communication skills
• Graph Database knowledge is a plus
• Docker Knowledge is a plus
• Python Knowledge is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
