System Engineer

We're seeking a hands-on Systems Engineer to join a small IT team supporting approximately 120 users. This individual will serve as the primary resource for virtualization, storage, and backup technologies while helping drive key infrastructure initiatives, including cloud adoption and Microsoft 365 migration projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys owning critical infrastructure, working across multiple technologies, and having a direct impact on the organization's IT strategy.

What You'll Do

• Administer and support VMware and Nutanix virtualization environments
• Manage and support VDI infrastructure
• Maintain enterprise storage and backup solutions
• Provision storage and support connectivity across Windows and Linux environments
• Administer Active Directory and Group Policy
• Support Windows server infrastructure and related technologies
• Participate in Microsoft 365 and cloud migration initiatives
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, storage, and virtualization issues
• Collaborate with a small IT team on projects and day-to-day operations

Required Qualifications

• Strong VMware administration experience
• Experience supporting VDI environments
• Active Directory and Group Policy administration experience
• Windows infrastructure administration experience
• Enterprise storage and backup experience
• Strong troubleshooting and systems engineering skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Nutanix experience
• Rubrik experience
• Omnissa Horizon (formerly VMware Horizon) experience
• Linux administration experience
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and cloud technologies
