Data and Integration Manager
Indexed description
The roads you drive, the buildings you enter, and the infrastructure holding it all together start with our client, a leading construction materials manufacturer with operations across multiple locations. Behind every product and every plant is an enterprise full of systems that need to talk to each other, and they're looking for the leader who makes that happen.
If that sounds like your kind of problem, keep reading.
The Role Our client is looking for a Data and Integration Manager to lead the enterprise data, integration, automation, and internal development function. Reporting to the VP of Information Technology, you'll manage a data and development team (plus consultants and third-party vendors) while owning everything from platform strategy to the pipelines, integrations, and automations that connect ERP and line-of-business systems to the analytics the business runs on.
This isn't a heads-down engineering seat or a pure people-management role. It's both: you set the strategy, build the standards, and lead the team that delivers it. Expect 10 to 20 percent travel, closer to 50 percent during your first 90 days of onboarding.
What You'll Own
- The platform. Set the enterprise data strategy and architecture across Azure Databases, Dataverse, Data Lakes, Synapse, Fabric, and beyond.
- The pipelines. Oversee ETL/ELT, warehousing, semantic modeling, and orchestration across operational, analytical, and reporting environments.
- The integrations. Connect ERP and line-of-business applications (Infor Cloud Suite, HubSpot, Command Alkon, Adobe, Autodesk, and more) through APIs, EDI, event-driven patterns, and Power Platform automation (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio).
- The standards. Establish governance, quality, security, and documentation practices, plus the monitoring, reconciliation, and issue-resolution processes that keep it all trustworthy.
- The team. Lead the data and development team, manage vendors and the project backlog, and partner with business and IT leaders to deliver measurable value.
What You Bring
- 8+ years of progressive experience across data engineering, integration, analytics, application development, or enterprise systems
- 3+ years leading teams, managing technical delivery, or driving major enterprise data and integration initiatives
- Deep experience with Microsoft Azure data services: Azure SQL, Data Factory, Data Lake/Lakehouse, Synapse, and Fabric
- ERP integration and onboarding experience; Infor Cloud Suite Distribution is strongly preferred
- Fluency with API-based integrations, EDI, ETL/ELT pipelines, and enterprise integration patterns
- Hands-on or leadership experience with Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Databricks, SQL, Python, and Spark
- A track record establishing development lifecycle standards: source control, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support
- Experience supporting multi-location, enterprise-scale operations, and a Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or equivalent
- Bonus points: TOGAF, ITIL, CBIP, PMP, or Microsoft data certifications; familiarity with API management platforms (Azure API Management, Infor ION, MuleSoft, Boomi, Apigee, Kong); or experience with audits, compliance, and disaster recovery planning
