Role Description
We're hiring a Senior Support Engineer at LAComputech.
Not a ticket closer. Not someone who needs a checklist to get through the day. A real engineer — someone who walks into a problem, owns it, and figures it out.
Here's what the role actually looks like:
- Cloud: Azure, Microsoft Entra, and M365 at a real admin level — not surface-level familiarity
- Server: Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, RDS
- Networking: Unifi, Meraki, SonicWall, or similar
- Backup and DR: MSP360 — or whatever platform you've lived in
- RMM: NinjaOne; experience with it or a comparable platform is expected
- Support: The escalation point for our team when things get hard
What we need from you:
✅ MSP experience — this is non-negotiable
✅ Self-directed — you manage your own workload without being prompted
✅ Strong communicator — clients trust you because you follow through
Certifications are highly encouraged, but not a requirement. We care more about what you've actually built and managed. We've been serving businesses across Louisiana since 2009. Real ownership, no micromanagement. We move fast. We're actively interviewing and will fill this role as soon as we find the right person. If you've been sitting on this, don't. Send your resume and one paragraph about the most complex MSP environment you've managed to [email protected]. No MSP background? We appreciate the interest — but this one isn't the right fit.
Benefits:
- Health insurance
- Paid time off
- Professional development assistance
Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze, identify, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Experience in technical support, including remote diagnostics, incident management, and ticket escalation.
- Background in customer support and customer service, with a focus on clear communication and issue ownership.
- Solid understanding of operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux) and common business applications.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft or similar) are beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and meet response-time commitments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Previous experience in an MSP, IT services, or similar client-facing technical environment.
