The Responsibilities Will Include:
- Operate and support hybrid infrastructure (Azure and on-prem), ensuring incidents, requests and changes are handled within agreed SLAs.
- Design, build and run Azure IaaS/PaaS services, including networking, security and identity.
- Drive automation and continuous improvement using PowerShell and Infrastructure as Code.
- Participate in on-call support as part of a team rotation for non-office hours.
- Own and contribute to Incident, Problem and Change Management, including risk management and information security awareness.
- Maintain availability and performance through monitoring, capacity management, maintenance and third-party/vendor engagement where required.
- Deliver infrastructure initiatives and project work to agreed timelines.
- Support information security obligations (e.g., audit evidence, risk assessments, build guides) and assist with internal/external audits.
- Help ensure business continuity via resilient design, backup and restore validation, and participation in DR/BCP exercises.
- Document processes and ensure key knowledge is captured to reduce operational risk.
- Degree qualified (or equivalent industry experience) and typically 5+ years’ experience in infrastructure operations in a similar environment.
- Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure experience in a production environment, including IaaS/PaaS, networking, security and identity.
- Experience with Windows Server (on-prem and Azure) and identity services including Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Experience with hybrid/virtualised environments and integration patterns (e.g., VMware ESX/NSX).
- F5 experience (LTM/XC), and familiarity with financial products/markets
- Automation skills using PowerShell and Infrastructure as Code.
- Monitoring and observability experience (e.g., Splunk, Nagios or equivalent).
- Backup and DR knowledge (e.g., Commvault, Azure Backup) and a practical approach to resilience testing.
- Solid understanding of risk management and information security practices; comfortable working in audit/regulatory contexts.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and the ability to work with initiative under minimal supervision.
- Comfort working with enterprise services and internal corporate applications (e.g., Finance and HR systems) in a production environment.
