Qualifications and requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience developing applications using Java, preferably Java 17.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot.
• Experience building and consuming APIs and backend services.
• Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Experience with at least one scripting language such as Python, JavaScript, or Node.js.
• Understanding of software engineering practices including testing, debugging, version control, and CI/CD processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an agile, cross-functional environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges.

Job functions

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions that support customer engagement and enrollment experiences.
• Build and enhance backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Contribute to frontend development using React and TypeScript when needed.
• Develop integrations with external systems, device manufacturers, and utility partners to expand enrollment capabilities.
• Work with relational and non-relational databases to design efficient data solutions.
• Support analytics initiatives through reporting, logging, and data-driven insights.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, debugging sessions, and team planning activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical and operational challenges.
• Follow engineering best practices including automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive engineering culture.
