A growing organization is seeking a Systems Engineer to lead and execute critical infrastructure initiatives while ensuring the stability, security, and performance of enterprise technology systems.

The successful candidate will serve as a technical resource responsible for modernizing infrastructure, driving cloud adoption, enhancing security, and delivering reliable technology solutions across a complex enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Engineering & Ownership
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Administer and support Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and identity management platforms.
- Serve as the technical owner for core infrastructure services, including identity, compute, storage, virtualization, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Develop and maintain architecture documentation, technical standards, and system configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure challenges with minimal supervision.
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Lead infrastructure projects from planning and design through implementation, stabilization, and completion.
- Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while ensuring successful delivery and quality outcomes.
- Drive modernization efforts, including cloud transformation, infrastructure standardization, and security enhancements.
- Balance project priorities with ongoing operational responsibilities.
Security, Resilience & Compliance
- Implement and maintain infrastructure security controls and best practices.
- Support compliance initiatives and organizational security requirements.
- Own backup and disaster recovery solutions, including regular testing and validation.
- Ensure systems remain resilient, secure, and continuously optimized.
Operational Excellence
- Serve as an escalation point for advanced technical issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Maintain high levels of system availability and operational reliability.
- Effectively prioritize work across competing business and technical demands.
Process Improvement & Standardization
- Establish and maintain infrastructure standards, security baselines, and documentation practices.
- Promote consistency across environments through governance and best practices.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities that improve efficiency and reliability.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the technology organization.
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with IT colleagues, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver technology solutions.
- Communicate technical concepts, project updates, risks, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support critical business applications and enterprise technology platforms.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related technical role.
- Demonstrated success designing, implementing, and supporting complex enterprise infrastructure.
- Strong experience with:
- Microsoft Azure
- Microsoft 365 Administration
- Windows Server
- Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID
- Backup and Disaster Recovery Solutions
- Virtualization Technologies
- Core networking concepts, including firewalls, switching, SD-WAN, and enterprise networking platforms
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multi-site enterprise environments.
- Strong security and compliance background.
- Experience leading infrastructure modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with automation and infrastructure standardization.
- Experience supporting business-critical applications and enterprise systems.
