Role Overview
As an Enterprise Systems Engineer at Cboe, you will design, engineer, and deliver infrastructure solutions that support both internal operations and customer-facing platforms. You will play a key role in maintaining the reliability, security, and scalability of enterprise systems while resolving complex technical issues and driving continuous improvement across infrastructure services.
This role focuses on deploying and supporting enterprise-grade infrastructure across Windows Server, VMware, Azure, and Microsoft 365 platforms. You will ensure high availability, disaster recovery readiness, and compliance with regulatory frameworks, particularly SOX-critical systems. Your responsibilities include automation, observability, and security hardening, as well as mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support deployments, upgrades, and architectural decisions.
The ideal candidate brings a strong engineering mindset combined with a service-delivery orientation - someone who can own complex incidents end-to-end, and communicate technical decisions clearly to peers and other stakeholders across multiple time zones. This role is a key node in Cboe's follow-the-sun support model, requiring sound judgment, proactive communication, and a high standard for operational discipline.
