Key Responsibilities:
- Environment Maintenance: Perform daily health checks, review system reports, monitor performance alerts, and ensure maximum infrastructure uptime.
- BAU Troubleshooting: Proactively triage and resolve failed backup routines, automated batch jobs, and infrastructure issues.
- Support Escalation: Act as a Level 2/3 operational escalation point within the Systems Administration environment for the IT Service Desk across servers, networks, cloud, and databases.
- System Hygiene: Handle routine patch management, backup/restore validations, access control updates, and life-cycle administration.
- Automation & Documentation: Proactively write scripts to automate repetitive operational workflows and maintain accurate technical runbooks.
Core Requirements:
- Experience: 2–5 years of hands-on Systems Administration experience within a medium-sized enterprise environment.
- Technical Balance: Proven capabilities across Servers, Networks, Cloud (Azure preferred), and Databases. Candidates must demonstrate strong proficiency in at least two of these domains and intermediate capability in the remaining two.
Key Skills:
- Windows/Linux Server administration and patching.
- Cloud platform administration (Azure core services).
- Identity and Access Management (Active Directory / Entra ID).
- Basic SQL database maintenance (backups, restores, failed job checks).
- Infrastructure automation utilizing scripting tools (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
Certifications (Desirable):
MCSA/MCSE, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or ITIL Foundation.
