Microsoft Fabric will be a key focus of the position, alongside Azure and full-stack development. You will work on exciting client projects, designing and delivering secure, scalable data and cloud solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem. While the role is primarily hands-on and technically focused, you will also collaborate directly with clients and internal stakeholders, so strong communication and consulting skills are important.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing and building Lakehouse solutions in Microsoft Fabric using the medallion architecture across bronze, silver and gold layers.
  • Working with OneLake, Delta tables and Fabric SQL analytics endpoints.
  • Ingesting and transforming data from multiple sources using Data Factory pipelines, Dataflow Gen2 and Copy activities.
  • Developing data-quality, validation and transformation logic.
  • Creating reusable, curated datasets and dimensional data models.
  • Building presentation layers and Power BI semantic models.
  • Implementing row-level and object-level security.
  • Developing Azure back-end components using .NET and C#.
  • Building event-driven solutions using Azure Functions, Event Grid and related Azure services.
  • Integrating Microsoft Fabric and Azure services with external platforms and applications.
  • Supporting secure cloud infrastructure, including private networking, managed identities, Microsoft Entra ID and role-based access control.
  • Managing source control, CI/CD and environment promotion using Git, Azure DevOps and Fabric deployment pipelines.
  • Contributing to solution design, technical documentation and as-built documentation.
  • Participating in technical reviews, stand-ups, knowledge sharing and project planning.
  • Communicating with clients to clarify technical requirements, provide updates and explain solution approaches.
  • Supporting front-end development where required, with exposure to React or Angular considered valuable.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least five years of relevant professional experience across data engineering, cloud development or software development.
  • Strong hands-onexperience with Microsoft Fabric.
  • Practical experience with:
    • OneLake
    • Lakehouse architecture

    • Data Factory pipelines
    • Dataflow Gen2
    • SQL analytics endpoints
  • Strong SQL capability and experience with data modelling.
  • Experience designing and implementing medallion architecture.
  • Solid .NET and C# back-end development experience.
  • Experience building Azure Functions and event-driven cloud solutions.
  • Broad knowledge of Azure services, including storage, networking, Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities and RBAC.
  • Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD and environment management.
  • A strong understanding of cloud security and secure development practices.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a delivery team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A practical, delivery-focused mindset and a high standard of documentation.
Highly regarded

  • React or Angular experience.
  • Power BI semantic modelling experience.
  • Microsoft Dataverse integration experience.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 or the Power Platform.
  • Power Apps or Power Automate experience.
  • Infrastructure-as-code experience.
  • Experience working in consulting, regulated or data-sovereign environments.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications, including Fabric, Azure or Power Platform certifications.
