The selected candidate will be required to work a hybrid schedule (3 days in office/2 remote) from our Dallas, TX, or Cincinnati, OH office. No relocation
assistance is being offered with this role.
Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:
- Ensure High Availability: Guarantee the uptime and peak performance of critical Azure-hosted enterprise workloads across a comprehensive suite of IaaS and PaaS services.
- Drive Cloud Delivery: Collaborate seamlessly with application teams and business units to accelerate the deployment of impactful cloud solutions.
- Resolve & Stabilize: Swiftly diagnose and troubleshoot complex cloud incidents, ensuring continuous operational stability and uninterrupted service.
- Support Continuity & Resilience: Maintain business continuity workflows, execute routine disaster recovery procedures, and support high availability environments to guarantee reliable system uptime.
- Empower Operations: Develop comprehensive documentation and runbooks to streamline support workflows, ensure business continuity, and drive automation.
- Maintain System Integrity: Oversee cross-platform health and compliance through centralized Azure Update Management across Windows and Linux environments.
- Fortify Security: Strengthen the cloud security posture by implementing and managing SentinelOne deployment policies for vital infrastructure and PaaS resources.
- Optimize Cloud Spend: Spearhead cost-efficiency initiatives, such as resource rightsizing, strategic reservations, and targeted automation, to maximize cloud ROI across Azure and AWS.
- Engineer Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design scalable, repeatable, and automated Azure infrastructure deployments utilizing advanced Terraform scripting and modular design.
- Champion DevOps Excellence: Integrate IaC deployments into robust CI/CD pipelines, upholding the highest standards of modern DevOps best practices.
- Core Azure Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of fundamental Azure services (Compute, Networking, Storage, Entra ID, RBAC) and proficiency with native management tools, including Azure Portal, CLI, PowerShell, and Azure Monitor.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): High proficiency in Terraform for deploying and managing Azure environments, encompassing module creation, state management, and GitHub CI/CD integration.
- Automation & Scripting: Strong capability in PowerShell and Bash to effectively streamline routine administrative tasks and deployments.
- Cloud Cost Optimization: Proven ability to execute financial efficiency strategies, including Reserved Instance (RI) management, resource rightsizing, and consolidation.
- Incident Response & Diagnostics: Demonstrated skill in analyzing logs and metrics, managing incident remediation, and ensuring overall platform health through proactive maintenance.
- Continuity & Resilience Support: Experience supporting business continuity workflows, executing disaster recovery procedures, and maintaining high availability setups to ensure reliable system uptime.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field.
- 3+ years in Enterprise Information Technology engineering and/or operations.
- 3+ years of previous Microsoft Azure experience or relevant exposure including the following:
- Microsoft Entra Id, Azure Update Manager, Azure Virtual Desktop, API Management, Application Gateway, Load Balancer, App Services
- PowerShell or other scripting language experience
- Docker/Container experience a plus
- 1+ years of previous Terraform experience or relevant exposure.
