A leading technology consulting firm is looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to join its growing cloud practice in New York. You'll work with enterprise clients across a range of industries, designing and delivering modern Azure cloud solutions that support digital transformation, application modernisation and cloud migration initiatives.

This is an opportunity to work on complex, large-scale programmes while helping clients define cloud strategy, architecture and best practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end Azure cloud architectures for enterprise customers.
• Lead cloud transformation, migration and modernisation projects.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements.
• Produce high and low-level solution designs and architecture documentation.
• Define Azure governance, security, networking and operational best practices.
• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support pre-sales activities including workshops, solution design and client presentations.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong experience designing Azure cloud solutions in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with Azure Landing Zones and cloud governance.
• Strong understanding of Azure networking, identity and security.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM or Bicep.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture frameworks and best practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Previous experience within a consulting or professional services environment.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL or Databricks.
• Experience supporting data platform or analytics projects.
• Azure certifications (Azure Solutions Architect Expert preferred).
• Experience with Kubernetes or container platforms.
• Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimisation.
