The DevOps Engineer is responsible for providing high-quality, timely, and accurate service to all clients. This position manages the activities and processes involved in production environments and identifies and implements improvements within them.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Implement scalable and resilient deployment strategies for high-traffic, mission-critical applications, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum availability.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability during the deployment process.
- Develop and maintain automated release management processes, including branching strategies, versioning, and release notes, to ensure smooth and efficient software deployments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Development, Quality Assurance, and Site Reliability Engineers, to streamline and automate the software delivery process.
- Configure and manage scalable and highly available infrastructure using Microsoft Azure.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to enable automated provisioning and configuration of resources.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
- Continuously monitor and enhance system performance, scalability, and security through proactive monitoring and optimization techniques.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on end-users.
- Evaluate, select, and integrate relevant DevOps tools and technologies to improve the efficiency, productivity, and reliability of software delivery.
- Work closely with ITS engineers to maintain the hardware and software needed to complete projects efficiently.
- Analyze the current technology used within the company and develop processes to improve and expand it.
- Participate in the On-Call role as needed
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience with C# and .NET Framework web-based application development.
2+ years of experience:
- In DevOps.
- With scripting languages (such as Powershell and JavaScript).
- With SQL Server and T-SQL.
- With HTML, CSS/IIS management.
- In software development (including working with processes and services in a client-support environment).
1+ years of experience with:
- Windows Server management.
- Infrastructure as code (such as Terraform and CloudFormation).
- Monitoring and logging tools (such as New Relic, Splunk, or ELK Stack).
- Microsoft Azure (PAAS, IAAS) or proven capability to rapidly onboard and apply the latest solutions and best practices.
- Microservices Architecture and Kubernetes.
- Version control systems (such as GIT).
- Cloud environments (such as Azure).
- Azure Fundamentals/Developer/DevOps Certification.
- Intermediate verbal and written English communication skills.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
