Up to £60,000 - London (3 days in office)
We are partnering with a global consulting and technology services organisation that delivers large-scale digital, data and AI transformation programmes for enterprise clients across a range of industries.
Due to continued growth within its Data & Analytics practice, the organisation is looking to hire a Data Engineer to play a key role in designing, building and optimising modern enterprise data platforms. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled team working on complex data transformation programmes, helping organisations unlock greater value from their data and accelerate their analytics and AI capabilities.
Working closely with business stakeholders, architects, data specialists and technology teams, you will be responsible for delivering scalable, cloud-based data solutions that support critical business objectives. This role would suit an experienced Data Engineer who enjoys leading technical initiatives, solving complex data challenges and working with modern cloud technologies in a client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain robust ETL processes, data pipelines and data integration solutions across complex environments
- Build and optimise cloud-based data platforms, ensuring scalability, performance and reliability
- Develop and maintain enterprise-scale data models to support reporting, advanced analytics and AI initiatives
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective data solutions
- Drive best practices around data quality, governance, security and operational excellence
- Support large-scale data migration and transformation programmes across multiple systems and platforms
- Mentor and support junior team members where appropriate
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience working as a Data Engineer within a Data & Analytics, technology or consulting environment
- Strong hands-on experience designing and building complex ETL processes and data pipelines
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP
- Advanced SQL skills with the ability to work across large, complex datasets
- Strong Python skills for data engineering, automation and data processing
- Good understanding of data warehousing, data modelling and modern data architecture principles
