We are seeking an experienced AWS Architect to join our growing data engineering team. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in building scalable cloud-based data platforms and modern data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS services, Python, Airflow, Redshift, and enterprise data integration technologies, along with strong leadership skills to drive data engineering initiatives from design through implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Data Engineers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and best practices.
  • Define and execute the data engineering roadmap aligned with business and technology objectives.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance data pipelines using Python and Apache Airflow.
  • Build robust ETL/ELT solutions to ingest, transform, and deliver high-quality data for analytics and reporting.
  • Architect and implement cloud-native data solutions using AWS services including S3, EMR, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, Step Functions, and related services.
  • Develop distributed data processing solutions using Spark on AWS Glue and EMR.
  • Implement real-time and event-driven data processing using Kafka, Amazon SQS, and Amazon EventBridge.
  • Integrate enterprise applications and third-party platforms using Fivetran, AppFlow, REST APIs, and other integration technologies.
  • Design and optimize enterprise Data Warehouse solutions using dimensional modeling and modern data architecture principles.
  • Collaborate with architects, business analysts, product owners, and data scientists to deliver scalable data solutions.
  • Optimize data processing performance, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve platform stability and performance.
