Platform Engineer

Location: Kansas City, MO (onsite with limited telecommuting allowed)

Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy complex infrastructure and network solutions.
• Create and implement platforms that manage and support various software applications and processes.
• Develop and deploy automation code to optimize infrastructure management.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to design and deploy enterprise software solutions.
• Monitor security and compliance of infrastructure systems.
• Resolve complex technical issues, including system outages.
• Respond to security incidents and provide remediation guidance.
• Participate in development and deployment of security systems and policies.
• Analyze security alerts and threats to prevent breaches.

Required Skills

• Infrastructure & Network Systems Design/Deployment
• Terraform code and module development
• CI/CD pipeline development
• Kubernetes or containerization management
• Scripting: Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Security systems & vulnerability management
• Public cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Automation scripts and infrastructure management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s accepted with less experience).
• Experience:
• 5 years with Bachelor’s OR 4 years with Master’s in system engineering.
• Hands-on experience in all listed technical areas above.
