Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong application development expertise in Python and/or modern web technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting cloud-native applications in AWS, with applications hosted and managed on Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).


The candidate should possess a strong software engineering mindset, be comfortable working across application and cloud infrastructure layers, and have experience delivering secure, scalable, and highly available solutions in an enterprise environment.


Key Responsibilities


  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services using Python and modern web development technologies.
  • Build and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS.
  • Containerize applications using Docker and deploy them to Amazon EKS.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and application integrations.
  • Work with AWS services such as EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, CloudWatch, Route 53, Elastic Load Balancing, and Secrets Manager.
  • Create and maintain Kubernetes deployment manifests, Helm charts, services, ingress configurations, ConfigMaps, and secrets.
  • Implement automated application build, testing, and deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, DevOps engineers, security teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot application, container, Kubernetes, networking, and AWS-related issues across development and production environments.
  • Implement application monitoring, centralized logging, alerting, and performance optimization.
  • Apply secure coding practices and ensure applications comply with organizational security and cloud governance standards.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, sprint planning, and technical documentation.
  • Support application releases, production deployments, incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.



Required Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 7–10 years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong programming experience in Python.
  • Experience developing web applications using frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
  • Experience with frontend technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and operating applications in AWS.
  • Strong experience with Docker and containerized application development.
  • Practical experience deploying and managing workloads on Amazon EKS or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Kubernetes concepts including pods, deployments, services, ingress, namespaces, autoscaling, ConfigMaps, secrets, and persistent storage.
  • Experience developing and supporting CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline, or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, or MongoDB.
  • Experience with Git-based source code management and branching strategies.
  • Understanding of AWS networking, IAM roles and policies, security groups, load balancers, DNS, and certificate management.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with onsite and offshore teams in an Agile delivery environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Developer, AWS Solutions Architect, or Kubernetes certification.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Experience developing Helm charts and managing Kubernetes releases.
  • Experience with observability tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or the ELK stack.
  • Experience implementing authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, or JWT.
  • Knowledge of application security principles, vulnerability remediation, secrets management, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and services such as Amazon SQS, SNS, EventBridge, or Kafka.
  • Experience supporting highly available, business-critical production applications.
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development.
  • Experience working in regulated industries such as insurance, financial services, or healthcare is an advantage.
