We are seeking a Cloud Architect with a degree in Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or related fields to design and validate cloud architectures for VMware workload migration projects to AWS. The successful candidate will ensure the implementation of scalable, secure solutions aligned with AWS Well-Architected Framework best practices, while actively participating in defining Landing Zones, Disaster Recovery architectures, automation using Infrastructure as Code and modernization processes for applications, databases and containers. This role requires a highly technical profile with the ability to solve complex architectural problems, define technical standards, support engineering teams during migration execution and guarantee the technical quality of implemented solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design cloud architectures for the migration of applications and infrastructure to AWS
  • Define Landing Zone architectures, hybrid connectivity, and Disaster Recovery
  • Develop and validate technical designs for computing platforms, networks, storage, databases, and containers
  • Design and develop Infrastructure as Code components using Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Define technical standards and best practices for infrastructure automation
  • Review and validate architectures developed by engineering teams
  • Provide specialized technical support during the different migration phases
  • Design modernization strategies for applications, containers, and databases
  • Participate in technical reviews, troubleshooting, and resolution of highly complex incidents
  • Document the solution architecture and transfer knowledge to operational teams

Requirements

  • More than 7 years of experience in infrastructure, solutions architecture, or cloud platforms
  • Minimum 3 years designing solutions on Amazon Web Services
  • Experience in VMware infrastructure migration projects to AWS
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Experience with container architectures using Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes
  • Experience migrating and modernizing relational and NoSQL databases
  • Experience participating in technology transformation projects for large organizations
  • Experience working with AWS Professional Services or AWS Partners is desirable
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher
