Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS)

We would like to meet a Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS) for a hybrid project based in Braine-l'Alleud.

Key Responsibilities´:

• Design and implement AWS cloud solutions to support business applications and services.
• Build, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure following Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Lead or support cloud migration projects from on-premises and legacy environments to AWS.
• Implement and maintain cloud security controls, access management, encryption standards, and compliance requirements.
• Monitor cloud environments to ensure availability, reliability, performance, and cost optimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure incidents and service-related issues.
• Develop automation scripts and deployment pipelines to improve operational efficiency and consistency.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and business teams to deliver cloud-based solutions.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and support guides.
• Conduct architecture reviews and recommend improvements related to cloud security, resilience, operational processes, and best practices.
• Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and implementation activities.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
• Stay current with AWS best practices, emerging technologies, and new service offerings to drive continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting solutions within the Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment.
• Proven experience with AWS core services, including:
• EC2
• VPC
• IAM
• S3
• RDS
• Lambda
• CloudWatch
• Route 53
• AWS Backup
• Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, security architectures, identity and access management, and data protection best practices.
• Experience implementing high-availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Proficiency in automation and scripting.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using tools such as Azure DevOps.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing cloud infrastructure performance and costs.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Knowledge of container orchestration platforms, including Kubernetes and Amazon EKS.
• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer, AWS SysOps Administrator) are considered an advantage.
