Automotive Program Manager – Electronic Systems
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the development and launch of advanced automotive electronic systems. This individual will oversee multiple cross-functional programs from concept through production, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with customer and industry requirements. The ideal candidate brings a combination of technical understanding, project leadership experience, and the ability to coordinate complex engineering initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
-Lead and manage automotive product development programs across the full product lifecycle
-Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables while ensuring alignment with business objectives
-Identify project risks, drive mitigation strategies, and proactively address issues that could impact program success
-Coordinate activities between engineering, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, suppliers, and customers
-Facilitate program reviews and communicate project status, timelines, and key metrics to leadership and stakeholders
-Support program budgeting, resource planning, and cost management activities
-Manage engineering changes, program documentation, and configuration management processes
-Partner with technical teams on requirements definition, validation activities, and product launch execution
-Ensure compliance with customer expectations, internal processes, and applicable automotive standards
-Serve as a primary customer contact for assigned programs and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
-Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance program execution and operational efficiency
Qualifications
Education & Experience
-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical discipline
-Approximately 3–5 years of experience in automotive program management, product development, or a related engineering role
Technical Knowledge
-Understanding of automotive electronic systems and vehicle subsystems
-Familiarity with functional safety processes and automotive development standards
-Experience supporting programs involving vehicle control technologies, embedded electronics, or electromechanical systems
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Asana, Monday.com, or similar platforms
-Ability to analyze project data and generate reports for management and customer reviews

-Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
-Strong customer-facing communication and stakeholder management abilities
-Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence outcomes in a matrix organization
-Effective meeting facilitation, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills

-Exceptional planning, prioritization, and time management capabilities
-Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines simultaneously
-Strong attention to detail and follow-through
Work Environment
-Primarily office-based with occasional travel to customer, supplier, or company locations as needed
-Position requires extended computer use and periodic walking, standing, and lifting of light materials
