About The Role
Design, program, and deploy industrial robot cells for production use, translating process requirements into automation sequences and supporting ramp-up with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own robot application development from concept to commissioning, including tooling requirements and process validation
- Develop and maintain robot programs, I/O maps, and motion paths; tune trajectories for throughput and repeatability
- Integrate robots with PLCs, safety controllers, sensors, and machine vision; validate handshakes, interlocks, and fault recovery
- Create commissioning checklists, run acceptance tests, and document as-built configurations
- Troubleshoot downtime using logs, traces, and root-cause analysis; implement countermeasures and preventive improvements
- Ensure compliance with industrial robot safety standards and risk assessments; support safety validation and audits
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and operations teams to deliver maintainable automation solutions
- Mid-Senior experience delivering industrial robotics automation in manufacturing, logistics, or high-volume production
- Strong robot programming and cell integration skills (motion control, coordinate frames, path optimization)
- Practical PLC integration and troubleshooting experience (I/O, fieldbus concepts, interlocks)
- Experience integrating and calibrating machine vision systems
- Familiarity with robot safety standards and safe commissioning practices
- Ability to write clear documentation, run structured tests, and communicate effectively in a remote environment
- ROS-based tooling, simulation/digital twin, or offline programming experience
- Conveyor/servo/EOAT integration; force/torque or compliance applications
- Exposure to OEE improvement, SPC, and continuous improvement practices
- Experience supporting multi-site deployments with reusable automation modules
