System Architect

We are seeking an experienced System Architect for our client, a global automotive supplier undergoing expansion in Barcelona. With a team of over 100 employees worldwide and a growing local team, our client is at the forefront of developing next-generation, high-performance electrical powertrain systems that are transforming the electric vehicle market. Serving primarily OEM clients, and Tier 1 Suppliers, they are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation in the industry.

Location: Zona Franca, Barcelona

Onsite position.

Responsibilities

• Oversee system engineering and architecture for cutting-edge automotive systems.
• Convert customer requirements into detailed system specifications, covering electronics, mechanics, and software documentation.
• Handle system integration, including vehicle integration at the customer’s site.
• Establish testing requirements and methods, supporting verification and validation efforts.
• Participate in hands-on projects, including proof-of-concept development and troubleshooting.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a System Engineer / Architect in the Automotive industry
• Solid experience in the whole product life cycle (gathering requirements, design, architecture, simulation, validation, test, and implementation/integration)
• Experience in either powertrain/battery management/ADAS system engineering
• Solid hands-on experience in Functional Safety
• Fluent Spanish and English language skills
