About The RoleIn this role, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of advanced robotics solutions addressing complex real-world challenges at scale. Working within SoftServe’s Robotics Group, you will operate at the intersection of applied engineering, system architecture, and client delivery, driving technical excellence and shaping the direction of robotics initiatives across industries.
Responsibilities
- Design and lead the development of advanced robotics systems across domains, including mobile robots, drones, and autonomous platforms
- Drive end-to-end ownership of robotics initiatives, ensuring high-quality architecture, scalability, and production readiness
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including robotics engineers, AI specialists, embedded engineers, and cloud teams
- Architect and implement perception, SLAM, motion planning, and control systems for real-world robotic applications
- Build and manage prototyping cycles, evolving experimental solutions into robust, production-grade systems
- Oversee simulation and real-world validation using tools such as Gazebo, Nvidia Isaac Sim, and HIL/SIL environments
- Ensure efficient integration of sensors, actuators, and hardware components with software systems
- Implement high-performance computing solutions leveraging GPU/CUDA, OpenCV, and point cloud processing pipelines
- Establish and optimize development workflows, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Docker-based deployments
- Lead, mentor, and guide engineering teams, supporting technical growth, delivery effectiveness, and collaboration
- Engage with clients through workshops, technical discussions, and architecture reviews, translating business needs into engineering solutions
- Strong experience (8+ years) in robotics software development, including real-time systems
- Expert-level proficiency in C/C++ and Python
- Hands-on experience with ROS/ROS2 and robotic visualization tools such as RViz
- Practical knowledge of mobile robots, drones, AGVs, AMRs, or autonomous systems
- Experience with simulation and rendering tools such as Gazebo, Nvidia Isaac Sim, Bullet, or Blender
- Deep understanding of robotics domains, including perception, SLAM, trajectory planning, kinematics, and obstacle avoidance
- Experience with GPU acceleration (CUDA) and libraries such as OpenCV and PCL
- Strong background in system architecture design, including real-time constraints, modularity, and data flow
- Experience with sensor and actuator integration and a solid understanding of control systems
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments with strong scripting and automation skills
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and production-grade deployment practices
- Proven leadership experience, including mentoring engineers and managing delivery pipelines
- Strong communication skills, with experience presenting technical concepts to clients and stakeholders
- Upper-intermediate or higher English proficiency
