Robotics Engineer Jobs Mexico City
Indexed description
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robotics software components using ROS/ROS2, C++, and Python (nodes, services, messages, lifecycle modules)
- Develop and tune motion planning and control systems (e.g., PID/MPC), trajectory generation, and state estimation
- Build perception pipelines (camera/LiDAR/IMU), sensor calibration, sensor fusion, SLAM, and localization
- Validate in simulation (e.g., Gazebo) and on hardware; close sim-to-real gaps with testing, logging, and root-cause analysis
- Optimize latency and resource usage (CPU/GPU) and meet embedded/real-time constraints where required
- Drive engineering best practices: code reviews, CI, reproducible builds, and reliability metrics
- Mid-senior experience shipping robotics/autonomy features into production environments
- Strong C++ and Python skills with modern debugging/profiling practices
- Hands-on ROS/ROS2 architecture experience and message-based system design
- Robotics fundamentals: kinematics, dynamics, control theory, estimation, SLAM/localization, planning
- Experience with sensors (cameras, LiDAR, IMU, encoders) and robust perception/sensor fusion
- Proven ability to diagnose failures from logs/telemetry and improve robustness under real-world noise
- Nav2, MoveIt, planners/controllers; learning-based perception and deployment
- Embedded Linux, hardware bring-up, motor drivers, industrial protocols
- Safety/fault detection, redundancy strategies, fleet telemetry, OTA updates
