Welcome to MICE DESK
MICE DESK is the leading European company automating the sales process in the hospitality industry — and we are now expanding to the US.
Our platform, Rocket, turns event, meeting, and group inquiries into autonomous end-to- end workflows: from RFP to signed contract, across email, CRM, and PMS systems. We integrate with the systems hotels actually run on — Oracle OPERA Cloud, SIHOT, Guestline, Salesforce, Marriott's enterprise stack — which means our engineers work inside real hotel operations, not against sandbox APIs.
We are a Series A-stage company with a deliberately small team and real enterprise traction: major hotel groups across Europe run their group sales on Rocket. The people joining now shape the product, the deployment playbook, and the culture.
The Role
Product Owners are how Rocket turns product direction into successful execution. You own specific product domains within the platform, ensuring engineering teams have clear requirements, priorities, and context needed to deliver high-quality features.
This is not a strategy ownership role. You work closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Design, QA, and customer-facing teams to translate product direction into actionable requirements, manage delivery, and ensure successful execution within your product area.
If you enjoy solving complex product problems, coordinating teams, and turning ideas into reliable software experiences, this is the role.
What You Will Own
1. Backlog ownership and delivery execution.
Own delivery for assigned product domains across the MICE DESK platform. Manage and refine the backlog, prioritize work based on guidance from the Product Manager, customer input, and business impact, and ensure engineering teams have everything required to deliver successful features.
2. Requirements and feature definition.
Translate product direction and customer needs into clear, actionable requirements for engineering teams. Write user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications while ensuring features are well understood before development begins.
3. Cross-functional collaboration.
Act as the connection point between Product, Engineering, Design, QA, and customer-facing teams throughout the development lifecycle. Support alignment on scope, priorities, delivery expectations, and successful feature releases.
4. Customer and product understanding.
Build a strong working understanding of customer workflows and operational pain points within your product domain. Support customer feedback collection, help validate solutions in partnership with the Product Manager, and provide insights that improve product execution.
5. Continuous improvement.
Improve product delivery through structured feedback, better processes, and execution-level insights. Surface opportunities for product enhancements to inform product strategy, support product discovery and experimentation led by the Product Manager, and contribute insights to long-term product planning.
What Success Looks Like
- 3 months: You understand your assigned product domains, work effectively with Engineering and Product, and independently manage requirements, backlog refinement, and delivery processes.
- 12 months: You own delivery across key product areas, engineering teams rely on your clarity and execution, and your work consistently improves feature delivery quality and customer outcomes.
